Sanuk Sandals Review!

Everybody loves flip flops right?!?  I know I do!  I also like knowing that I am being environmentally friendly even when it comes to my shoes!  Sanuk shoes is fabulous footwear company that offers functional footwear as well as fun footwear.  The company was founded in 1997 by Jeff Kelley who began making shoes out of old inner tubes and indoor/outdoor carpet.  Sounds a little strange right?  Well you won't think so once you get one of these sandals on your foot. 

I received the St. Tropez sandals, which are just about the cutest flip flops I've ever owned in my entire life!  Not only are they adorable, but they are super comfortable and soft.  I have hammer toes and I love flip flops!  Those two things don't always go together.  Most of the time I am able to wear a pair of flip flops for about 6 months before they become worn down on one side from the way my feet are shaped.  By the time this happens the shoes are then crooked like my feet and I can't wear them anymore because they make me walk unbalanced, which makes me trip.  For those of you that know me personally, you know that I am a clumsy, clumsy girl anyway and don't need the extra help falling down.  I can do that all on my own! 

These flops go great with lots of things, dressy or casual and I just love wearing them.  They make a statement for sure.  Nobody that has seen them on me has seen anything like them before and they are a real conversation piece.  Although I wear a size five and not a one of my friends can fit in my shoes, they all still have to step on them to see how soft they are.  And it's always "Wow, those ARE really soft!"   So here they are!  I absolutely LOVE them!

I spared you all the picture with my feet in them as my feet are not a pretty thing to look at, the shoes on the other hand are beautiful aren't they?  I feel like I am walking on air when I wear them and I love walking around knowing that my shoes are made from recyclable materials. 

When I received these I was surprised that they didn't come in a box.  They came via Fed Ex in this nifty little drawstring bag that is biodegradable!  The reason for this?  Well, the bag protects the shoes and keeps them in great condition and also it lowers Sanuk's environmental impact!  I used the bag to dispose of some kitchen waste and it made me feel great knowing that I wasn't throwing my waste plus a plastic bag in the garbage!  Sanuk is reducing the carbon footprint by making footprints, how about that?  So, make sure you go to Sanuk and check out their wide variety of sandals, sidewalk surfers, and tube flops for the entire family!  Great shoes, at great prices!

Celazome Skincare Review!

Say "try this new skincare product" to me and you usually won't get much of a response.  Much of my life I have faced issues with cleansers and toners and as a result end up washing my face with the only thing I know won't break me out, a Dove soap bar.  Doing this keeps most of the blemishes away, but it also makes my skin dry and flaky.  I have tried tons of drug store brands and department store brands and it always seems that the chemicals within those cleansers/toners/masks don't match the chemistry of my skin.  See, I don't fall into the usual skin categories.  I don't have overly dry skin, but I don't have oily skin either.  What I do have is skin that's allergic to just about everything.  I can't even use most laundry detergents without breaking out into some type of rash.  I can't go out into the sun and wear sunblock because I end up with a rash all over my body.  I tried this summer to go out with no sunblock (I know, I know) and I still broke out.  I called my Mom and said "Well, it's official, I'm allergic to the sun!"  How ridiculous is that? 

Well Celazome Clinical Skincare has come to my rescue for sure!  I received the Botanical Balancing cleanser as my prize and I was very impressed with what I got!  I love the way it feels on my skin and it smells fabulous!  It's not an overpowering, flowery smell, it's just a nice clean smell.  Since I have been using this product (about 3 weeks) my breakouts have become little to zero and my skin is no longer dry and flaky.  I think it's pretty safe to say I've found my new skincare regiment!  Not only is this not causing me blemishes, but I'm not allergic to it.  I haven't gotten a rash, or found my skin becoming flushed and red like it does with some cleansers.

Excess Baggage review! Little Black Dress by Suzabelle!

  Well, it seems as though I have been a slacker and haven't reviewed any of the products I have won, however that is not the case.  I have been having camera issues and was trying to wait until I could get a picture of everything.  I have not yet gotten a picture of the Little Black dress on me.  There's a few reasons for that.  One is the fact that I've been having camera issues as I mentioned and the other is because the dress does not yet fit me.  I wear a L dress, but I'm on a weight loss mission!  I'm losing weight everyday and decided when I picked my size that it would be pointless to get a Large.  I didn't want to get the large, wear it once and then end up giving it away or letting it just hang in my closet.  So, Medium it is and I'm not there yet.  Almost, but not quite! 

I love the cut of the dress and the way it feels on my shoulders.  It's cut super cute and the pockets on the front flow with the skirt of the dress so nicely.  It is quarter length sleeves so I will be able to wear it in any season!  Perfect to pair with tights, leggings, or just wear bare legged.  I really love this dress!  It's also a little low cut in the back so it makes it sexy without being too revealing.  However, a little too low to wear to work, but I was thinking if you put a thin T-shirt on underneath in pink, yellow, green or whatever other color tickles my fancy that day it would then be work wearable and I will have added a splash of color to the dress.  I'm excited to get to wear this dress and show it off!  The best part of showing it off is saying "I won this dress!"  Then I get to share how I won it!

My Best friend is a Mommy!

Obviously I don't really do many personal posts on here, but this one I can't contain!  I am 26 years old (will be 27 in November) and I have had the same best friend since I was in 7th grade.  We have been friends for 16 years and she has become a sister to me. 

Last night at 9:20 PM (9:20 on 09/20!)  my best friend Kelly gave birth to a beautiful baby girl weighing in at 6 lbs 7 oz and 20" long named Liliana Grace!  Congratulations to Kelly and Joe!  What an amazing gift Kelly has in Joe.  Joe and Kelly have been together since August 18th 2001 and they were married on September 29th, just a few short years ago.  High school sweethearts who own a lovely home and now have a beautiful daughter to love and cherish.  How happy I am for them! 

So cheers to Joe, Kelly and Liliana!  I wish you all a long and happy life.  I can't wait to get to Fayetteville tomorrow and see that beautiful bundle of joy!  She's just too precious!

My first Blog Hop post. New to this...so I hope I get it right. Mailbox Monday!

I've been at this for a little over a month now and have learned so many new terms that I never knew existed.  Such as "feed burner subscription", "linky", "blog hop" and "blog roll"...still not all too sure what a blog roll is or how to get one on my page...but like I said, learning something new every day.


These blog hops are great because they introduce you to new blogs, great reviews and fabulous giveaways!  I've come to follow many a blog in the past few weeks via blog hops...and I need followers, since obviously I am going to have to beg for followers!  I can't start doing my own giveaways if I don't have any followers, so I'm hoping that this will be the start of a flood of followers.


Now, here's to hoping this post comes out right!  Oh, and FYI...I have not yet done reviews of the products I have won in giveaways.  Not because I'm lazy, but because I'm having major camera/upload problems.  The only camera I'm working with right now are the fiance and I's two camera phones.  Which, are not activated cell phones.  I don't currently have the USB cable to mine and his, well, he works around dirt & polish all day, so his port is NOT working with me!  I will have this issue resolved hopefully by tomorrow and I can rave and say great things about the products I've received, the companies I've received them from, and the blogs that hosted the giveaways in the first place!
